A Better Way to Manage IV Connections
Easier. Faster. Safer.
Prevent IV damage with a simple twist
When IV lines are difficult to disconnect, nurses and at-home patients typically resort to any tool on-hand that can provide more grip: forceps, pliers, rubber gloves or tourniquets. These makeshift tools are ineffective and can cause damage to the IV line. Now there’s a solution for this common problem: Yewtwist is specially designed to help disconnect IV lines easily and safely.

DESIGNED BY AN ONCOLOGY NURSE
Yewtwist was born from the experience of Maria Plummer, a registered nurse with extensive experience in pediatric and adult oncology. Having cared for thousands of patients herself, and witnessing colleagues encounter difficulties with IV lines, she became determined to fulfill the need for a solution. Maria designed Yewtwist to help colleagues who work with IV connections, as well as patients at home who are responsible for their own IV lines.
Did you know?
Two of today’s most effective chemotherapy drugs, docetaxel and paclitaxel, were originally derived from the bark of the yew tree. Yew trees were common throughout medieval Europe. Their wood was prized among archers for making their bows because of its strength, light weight, and elasticity.
